Hi All! The long-awaited (but hopefully not fogotten) pictures of the 'photo-taking session (23rd July)' held in none other than Fairfield Secondary.

Hope that it has inspired you to look at the drudgery of the Everyday, the Mundane, with a fresh perspective! :)

Seminar on Book of Revelation

Revelation Revealed - An overview of John's Prophesy
30 September 2006, 2.30pm
Venue: 4th floor sanctuary
Paya Lebar Chinese Methodist Church

299 Upper Paya Lebar Road, S 534932
(* Nearest mrt is Serangoon. Take buses 22, 70, 58, or 43 along upper paya lebar road. Alight at the 4th bus stop which is opposite the church. )

Course Leader: Dr Tan Kim Huat (Dr Tan is the Chen Su Lan Professor of New Testament and also the Dean of Studies of TTC)

Too often, readers go to Revelation with preconceived ideas. What is needed is for the inspired author of Revelation to speak for himself. This overview is designed to do just that by giving an overview of the book so that the wood is not missed for the trees. This serves as a preparatory step for closer analysis of important messages. Only when all this is done can the main message of Revelation be discerned and properly applied to our last days. The many interesting and often bizarre interpretations of the seer's visions found today can then be weighed to see whether they conform to it.

The overview will focus on the following:
1. What kind of book is revelation
2. What principles must be bear in mind when interpreting it?
3. How is it structured?
4. What is its purpose?
5. What is its message for us?

If u are interested, and u know your friends are,
bring them to the seminar...

40-Day 06

Is life beautiful?
Or is it boredom?
Is there something that you can do to make a difference?
Is there an impact you can bring to your generation?
You hold in your hands a work of love.
The 40-Day prayer guide.
This issue is special. It commemorates ten sessions of 40-Day prayer with fasting. Behind this work of extraordinary love are ordinary people who prefer to remain unnamed, unacknowledged - so that the Lord our God will get all the credit, all the honor, all the glory, and all the praise. To mark this significant milestone, we went for a different style, a different approach. We pulled together a team, a mix of young and old. It's a prophetic act to signal a generation shift. So we got a twenty-something to do most of the writing, allowing her the space to transcribe the groans of the Spirit deep within her soul. The chief editors are people in their fifties with a unique calling to stand with God for His revival and prophetic dreams for this nation. Our proof reader is a spunky thirteen year old who did more than just proof read. With a sense of mission, she queried and gave excellent input that sharpened our thinking. Though the age gap is significant, there was nonetheless a fantastic chemistry. There was easy agreement and mutual submission. There was the overflow of passion, and the evidence of God's amazing grace from start to end. To God be all glory. The theme this year is Defining Moments. It's an invitation to get up close and personal with God. Look inside, Go deep. It’s a call to grow up and move beyond self. Look far. Ask big. Defining Moments.
It's a choice.
How is your reading and your reflection as you follow the prayer guide?
Are you making commitment to the Lord that you are learning to submit and commit to the Lord once again according to the Lord's will for you?
You are welcome to share your thoughts and experience.

Tiring tree top walk

Wahaha, experience last sunday was terrible. We started walking at 130pm and only returned to the starting point at 6pm. To think that it was long is wrong, we even "cheated" by exiting at upper thomson and took a bus back to MacRitchie.
To make things worse, we were under the rain for half the time.
Thank God that he brought us all back safely.
ANyway, it wasn't all that bad. We had enjoyable chit chat sessions and meaningful conversations struck out between the syfers and yfers.
To sum it all up, personally, i feel it was worth the effort and energy.

To lord always!
